When it comes to architecture, APR has made a mark on the community as well. Our involvement spans from design guidelines to ongoing architectural control, ensuring consistency and quality throughout the community’s lifecycle.

Tess should know; before joining Hunt Companies in 2022 she worked at APR for six years. While there, she was a critical liaison between community developers and builders to achieve the overall project vision. She recommended improvements to systems and procedures for increased productivity and reviewed architectural guidelines, approved residential starts, ensured community guideline compliance, and provided builder support. In short, Tess knows everything that goes into making the architectural control process work.
Today APR also helps Hunt finetune and manage The Colony’s Design Guidelines, making recommendations as the community has grown and new product lines have come online. This adaptability ensures that the community maintains its exacting standards while evolving to meet changing customer needs.
The success of our approach is evident in The Colony’s new home designs offered by Hunt’s respected builder partners: Ashton Woods, David Weekley Homes, Perry Homes, Scott Felder Homes, Sitterle Homes, Terrata Homes, and Westin. These builders work within APR’s carefully crafted guidelines to create homes that enhance the overall community vision and add value.
As The Colony has grown, so has APR. From our humble beginnings with just three employees, we’ve grown to a team of 17, providing Design Guidelines and architectural control services across the Sun Belt. We’re proud that Hunt Companies recently chose us to create Design Guidelines for a new community in El Paso and also for an upcoming project in Belton, River Farm.
